The SEEL Vardags Arena Eventing Series 2019/20
This was a  new series which started in 2018 and run jointly by Pyecombe, Coombelands and Petley Wood with the final changing venues annually between the centres. Other venues will be invited to hold qualifiers during the qualifying period. The 2020 final takes place at Petley Wood over the weekend of 22/23 February.
The qualifying period for this championship will be from March 2019 till the middle of February 2020 and then recommence after the 2020 finals . The winners at the finals will be invited to collect there trophies and mementos at the SEEL Ball in Tunbridge Wells in November 2020. This years winners will receive awards at the Ball on 16th November 2019.
Prizes at the final will include rugs, sashes, championship rosettes and excellent prize money according to sponsorship. It is also planned to run a stand alone class at the finals including a junior and a 1.05/10 height.
Numbers to qualify:Â
The first 10 competitors in all qualifying classes at 80cm/90cm/1m to qualify for the Championship finals. Qualifying information sheets will be issued to all combinations that qualify. If the finals are oversubscribed a ballot will take place and be decided by number of qualifying classes attended and combinations may be restricted to competing in only one championship class.
Qualifying tables will be kept updated and available to view on the websites of the centers and the South East Eventers League below
Sam Sweeney Arena Eventing Clinic in conjunction with SEEL
Taking place on Wednesday 31st December
Sam will have full use of the Arena Eventing fences including the new steps and dyke, a really useful exercise as the Arena Eventing season is in full swing. Sam is a regular local competitor who has competed up to 4* level with fifteen years experience at the top level.
To be run in groups of no more than 4 pupils, please state level of experience, height required etc when booking.
Applicants will be informed of there timings at least 2 days before.
The day will commence at 9.30am with sessions lasting one hour
Section A £30 per combination which includes arena hire
Section B £28 per combination for current SEEL members

BS Second Round Show
A big thank you for all that supported our BS second round show .Lots of good jumping and those that travelled from outside the Area had worthwhile trips.
Congratulations go to Lauren Ross who made the trip from Essex to win the Nupafeed Discovery 2nd round. In total 9 combinations jumped treble clears over Keith Bristow’s inviting courses to qualify for the National Championships at Stoneleigh in August.
